The Coleshill School is dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded educational experience that extends far beyond the classroom. Guided by our core values of ‘Work Hard, Be Kind, and Take Responsibility,‘ we believe that providing our students to a variety of enriching trips and visits is essential for their personal growth and the development of essential life skills. Each trip offers unique opportunities for personal growth and academic enrichment.

Expanding Horizons through Trips and Visits

We offer our students a diverse range of trips and visits throughout the academic year, catering to their diverse interests and aspirations that link to:

Curriculum-aligned visits: Each of our Subject departments incorporate field trips and visits that complement and enhance the learning taking place in the classroom, providing our students with valuable experiences and opportunities to build their cultural capital
Cultural Experiences: From theatre trips to our overseas excursions to destinations like Paris and Poland, our Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in new cultures, broaden their perspectives, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the arts and global diversity
University and Apprenticeship Visits: Our Careers team organises regular trips to local universities and apprenticeship events, allowing our Students to explore post-16 options and gain valuable insights into higher education and the world of work.
Children’s University: Our annual Gold Graduation at the University of Birmingham. Celebrating students achievements marking the completion of numerous enrichment hours and activities.
Reward Trips: To celebrate the hard work and achievements of our Students, we offer reward trips and activities throughout the year, recognising their dedication to our school’s SPIRIT values.

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is committed to keeping our students safe, both in school and the wider community. As part of our safeguarding arrangements, we have a two-way information sharing agreement in place with the local police authority. The agreement is compliant with Crime & Disorder Act 1998 (s.115) and Data Protection Act 1998(s.29.3; s.35.2.), and focuses on preventing young people from becoming involved or further involved in crime and anti-social behaviour as a victim or offender.
