Feel free to dip into the other videos – the ones on the Corona Virus Pandemic and Behavioural Economics are interesting – I would avoid the Financial Economics ones for now but have a look if that’s your thing!

A Level History

  1. Tudor History Preparation

During Year 12 and 13 you will study the five different Tudor Monarchs: Henry VII, Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I. Research  2 of these monarchs and produce a Facebook profile for each one (a profile template for each monarch has been uploaded – this can be printed and completed by hand or produced as a word document.

  • Germany History Preparation

Read the instruction sheet that has been uploaded – there are 4 different tasks to complete. All the resources you need to complete these tasks have been uploaded – there are 3 booklets to read and there are 4 worksheets to be completed using the information in these booklets.

Students will need to work through the Level 3 Algebra Award Content. I will list the topics below. The sessions that were taught in half term 6 will be useful to you and will support you in practising the required skills. Videos can be found on Mathsgenie to support where appropriate. It is important that you expose yourselves to past papers in preparation for your entry exam to A Level Maths.

Students will need to prepare for the Senior Maths Challenge exam which will take place in October/November. This is a great opportunity to be exposed to maths beyond the curriculum and will look impressive thing on your personal statements for university.
