2022 COLESHILL SCHOOL RESULTS
A Level, Level 3 BTEC and Technical qualification
Today we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our year 13 students, who are collecting their A Level, Level 3 BTEC and Cambridge Technical qualifications. Our students have achieved their grades through hard work, perseverance and demonstrating the attributes of the ‘Coleshill Learner’. Cultivating and developing these personal qualities for all students has been essential for this cohort of students who have faced multiple challenges throughout their educational journey at the Coleshill School as a result of the pandemic; being unable to sit their GCSE examinations, learning online from home and disruption related to self-isolation. However, despite all of this, all our students have continued to demonstrate a high degree of resolve, resilience and determination to achieve what they need to get onto their next steps.
Ian Smith-Childs (Headteacher) said “Today is the day where students get the results that they have been working for over the past 2 years. Despite all that they have faced, each one of them can be incredibly proud of their journey to get to the end of school and with a set of results that we can all be proud of, that will enable them to continue their journey onto university/further education, an apprenticeship, employment or to a gap year. As a school we cannot begin to describe the feeling we have in being able to support our students not only academically, but in being able to watch and support them in their growth, development and maturity, ready and prepared to take on the world”
Glyn Owen, Head of Sixth Form, said “This year group have achieved an excellent set of results across all qualifications and are now well placed for their next steps. We are delighted that so many students have achieved their potential. The hard work of our students has enabled them to go onto their chosen destinations, with more students than ever securing university places and 46% of these are Russell Group institutions, including Oxbridge. We are also delighted to report that a student has gained a place at a prestigious American university. A number of students have secured high quality apprenticeships and some students have gone into employment.”
On behalf of all the staff here at the Coleshill School, we could not be prouder, and we wish all our students the very best for their future.
