Music Lessons

  1. Learning to play an instrument at school offers a enormous range of benefits from cognitive development through memory, emotional benefits by providing a stress relief to creative expression.
  2. It is our aim to provide high quality instrumental tuition at the Coleshill School. We have a wide range of instrumental lessons on offer including guitar, drums, piano and vocals taught by professional musicians who deliver a fantastic high-quality provision.
  • Drums: James Rawson (£15 per lesson)
  • Guitar: Will Hastings (£15 per lesson)
  • Vocal: Hannah O’Connell (£15 per lesson)
  • Piano: Richards Evan (£17.50 per lesson)

All lessons are 30 minutes in length, taught on a one-to-one basis and delivered weekly. The timetable is clearly displayed in the Music and Drama block outside D2. Students will also receive an ‘Out of Lesson Pass’ stating the time and day of their lesson to show staff if required.

To enable us to maintain high attendance the academic year has split into 6 blocks of lessons (half-terms). Each block must be paid for in advance of receiving tuition via Parent Pay. Payment windows for this academic year are outlined below. Parents and guardians will also receive reminders via e-mail.

It is students’ responsibility to turn up on time to lesson and if they do not turn up or turn up late this lesson time will not be made up. If a lesson is cancelled by the school, it will be rescheduled at a later date.
